: Phone-"trouble".

I have an HTC Desire. Not a Desire HD, or Z, or whatever other letters they've put on newer models, but a plain old Desire, the first in the series. I've had it since May of last year, I think, which mans I've had it for almost one and a half year. To some people, that is unthinkable. Some people feel the need to upgrade their phone every time there's a new model out there (*cough* Apple-freaks *cough*). But I don't. I'm happy with my phone. Well... More or less.

There are two reasons why I sometimes feel like I should think about maybe getting a new phone. The first reason is the battery life. When I bought this phone almost a year and a half ago, short battery life, and the need to recharge the phone almost every day, was expected from smartphones. I don't think there were any really good models that had a particularly long battery life back then. Except iPhones maybe, but I wont touch those. Looking at the advertised battery life on some of the new phones now, if they are true, it's a completely different story. I'm tired of having to recharge my phone every night, and maybe even more than that if I actively use my phone.

The second reason is the low internal memory. Back when the Desire was created, the Android Market was still relatively new and didn't have a lot to offer, so it makes sense that they didn't put too much internal memory into it to make it cheaper or whatever. Now, however, there are lots of useful apps there, and I use quite a few on a day to day basis. The problem is that some of these apps are rather big, and I've almost completely filled up my phones internal memory. They did try to fix some of these issues by allowing apps to be partially moved to the SD-card, but many of the biggest apps doesn't have that option. So I'd love to have a phone with a bit more internal memory, so I can get more of the apps I want.

But I'm not gonna bother with it yet. It's still not a big enough issue for me, so I'm gonna stick with it for now. I don't really feel like spending any money on it at the moment either. Maybe after Christmas.
