: Long walk with scary lights

Went for a long walk, taking the longest planned route I have, today. The last couple of weeks have been rather passive, I haven't been walking too much and I have barely done the exercises the physiotherapist showed me. But that's mainly because I got sick the day after I was there, and was more or less knocked out for six days, and then sort of forgot all about it.

The last time I took this route, was the on average the fastest walk I've recorded. That was exactly 3 months ago, and my legs was okay back then. Also, the weather was warmer, which helps. Anyway, back then I walked an average of 10:42 min/km, completing the route in 62 minutes, and was completely exhausted when I got back. Today I walked an average of 12:39 min/km, completing the route in 73 minutes, and now I feel fine.

At a certain point during this route, there's a rather long, at least for a walker, stretch of road with a slight incline, leading up to a top. At the top there's forest on each side of the road. While walking towards this top, I was thinking that this would've been a perfect spot for a scene in a cheesy horror movie, where a UFO or something or other would appear from the other side of the top. As I was thinking this, several cars came from the other side, but none of them gave the effect I was thinking about, there was barely any light coming over the top at all.

Then, suddenly, a huge cone of very bright light appeared from the other side. It didn't look like it was turning into the road or anything either, it just appeared as if someone had flicked a switch. It was exactly what I was thinking about. It looked just like a scene from a movie! Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera, and I couldn't get my phone into camera mode soon enough, as I was using it to record my walk. I'll have to remember to bring my camera the next time I'm going that route after dark.

So, what was it that created this very bright light, brighter than any of the cars I had seen previously? Was it... A tractor-beam? A ghostly light? Well, sadly, it wasn't even a tractor-light, it was just a car like any other, only with brighter than average headlights I guess. Or maybe the other cars had turned their lights down? Who knows.
