: Away and home.

So, the last couple of days have been fun. I'm currently at my mother's place, in Strømmen, because we're going to the Netherlands, well, later today, as it's way past midnight. I've been here since Monday, in part because I'd rather be here than sit home alone a couple of extra days, and in part because I wanted to visit a couple of people I don't get to see very often.

On Tuesday I visited Michael, a friend of mine that is half English. I knew him back when we lived at Skjetten, and still had some contact with him for a few years after we moved away from there. But then we lost contact because he and his family moved to England. I eventually found him again on Facebook, and then a while later learned he was moving back to Norway. So we met again for the first time in several years this summer.

I've tried to meet up with him whenever I've been in the area since.

Today (or technically yesterday) I've visited my brother and his girlfriend. No too much to say about that, really, other than that I don't really see him very often. He never comes to Dokka anymore, unfortunately. I've told him he should come visit again soon, particularly considering our grandfathers declining health... But, it's up to him. Anyway. We didn't do much today, other than discuss a lot of game stuff, as usual.

I also learned today (again, technically yesterday) that my mother really wants me to move away from Dokka, to a city. She particularly wants me to move to Strømmen/Lillestrøm. While I do understand her reasons, they're not enough to convince me. There are too many things keeping me at Dokka. I don't really see any upsides to moving away from there and sort of "starting over" in a new place...

Also, there's the fact that I'm not very fond of the city environment. The only city I would consider moving to atm would be Gjøvik, where my sister and some of my friends live. But even there the cons outweigh the pros, in my opinion.

Tomorrow (or later today) we leave for the Netherlands, as mentioned. We're coming back on Tuesday. Probably wont post anything new until then.
